WNC Boomers was established to connect progressive-thinking Boomers who wish to create new connections, friends or activity partners.
We anticipate activities such as lunches out, board/card games, easy hikes, music and trivia events. Since our goal is to encourage an inclusive atmosphere, all age-appropriate, positive, progressive Asheville-area Boomers (both singles and couples) are invited to join us.The purpose of this group is not to organize large events. The site is to allow folks to post their own, self-organized large or small events. It's easy to do within the Events tab, and we can assist if necessary. The organizer will need to line up an appropriate space for the group, any materials required, and any other details to make it run smoothly. Then post the event by providing requested details, asking folks to RSVP to you via email, phone or text. As the event's details change, just let us know by emailing Patrice.

Other details:
- Eastside is a general area and includes the east side of Asheville as well as Black Mountain, Fairview, Swannanoa etc. As this site evolves, other geographic parameters will be added.
- Help us spread the word! Please print out this flyer and post in your local grocery store, library, etc.
- This is a new site with a July 17, 2025 launch date and as of 8/20/25, we have 46 members. Help us spread the word through your social media and word of mouth. To be updated.
